Revolutionizing Mobility Eye-Controlled Electric Wheelchair

In the 34 developed and 156 developing countries, there are 132 million disabled people who need a wheelchair, constituting 1.86% of the world population. Moreover, there are millions of people suffering from diseases related to motor disabilities, which cause inability to produce controlled movement in any of the limbs or even head. This invention puts forward a system to aid people with motor disabilities by restoring their ability to move effectively and effortlessly without having to rely on others utilizing an eye-controlled electric wheelchair.

The system input is to sense through a sensor the user's eye movements and that are processed to estimate the direction and the wheelchair is moved accordingly. To accomplish such a feat, Hamza Javed and fellow created the innovational device. The Team of Engineers and health professionals and designers further enhanced this innovation by using the device into the electrical wheelchair at the AMAX Professionals, Sialkot . This invention is a benchmark and is helping paralyzed people who can use only eyes to be mobile and self dependent to a great extent.
